A staffer of civic-run Hindu Rao Hospital has died of COVID-19, officials said on Thursday. The panel has recommended slashing the cost of isolation beds to almost half; treatment at the intensive care units without and with ventilators has been capped between Rs 13,000-15,000 and Rs 15,000-18,000.
Meanwhile, sources in Delhi government did highlight that "the state is likely to assess the report soon and will come up with an implementation order, depending on the report and could even go for further revision in the prices of COVID-19 treatment beds under various categories". 7,040 people have been tested in 193 testing Centres. "The specimens will be collected by the government facility on its own", said the recommendation report accessed by CNBC-TV18.
It also asked the Delhi government to explain the fall in coronavirus testing in the city.

The death toll from COVID-19 infection in the national capital had surged to 1,904 on Wednesday while 2,414 fresh coronavirus cases, the highest single-day spike here, had taken the tally in the city to over 47,000, according to the health bulletin released by the Delhi government.

COVID-19 treatment rates in private hospitals in Delhi were slashed on Friday on the direction of federal home (internal security) minister Amit Shah, said an official statement.
Delhi LG Anil Baijal held a meeting of the Delhi Disaster Management Authority through a video conferencing to review the healthcare preparedness, while Union Home Minister Amit Shah also held a meeting to review the coronavirus situation in the national capital.
In a meeting on Sunday, Shah had announced a slew of decisions to be taken in Delhi including increased testing, health surveys in containment zones and arranging for 500 coaches to be set up as isolation centres.
