Carole Baskin Wins Control of Oklahoma Zoo That Used to Be Joe Exotic's

Carole Baskin, Joe Exotic's famous nemesis in Netflix's hit documentary series Tiger King, has officially gained control of his zoo.

A lawsuit between Big Cat Rescue and Maldonado-Passage's mother, Shirley Schreibvogel, resulted in Monday's court order, which granted ownership of the zoo to Baskin.

The federal judge's ruling says Jeff has 120 days to get himself and all of the animals off the property.

Baskin, a prominent animal rights activist, became nationally known after her years-long feud with Joseph "Joe Exotic" Maldonado-Passage was a focal point of Netflix's "Tiger King" docuseries.

Last year, the mullet-haired big cat enthusiast was convicted of conspiring to murder Baskin after hiring a hitman. He was sentenced to 22 years in federal prison in January.

Baskin, who owns a big cat rescue in Florida, now has control over the 16-acre property in Garvin County, Okla. Greater Wynnewood Development Group must also remove all animals now on the property, though the ruling did not provide any guidelines for doing so.

This legal win was a long time coming for Baskin, who was truly done dirty by Tiger King.

But Lowe said he and his wife Lauren aren't too choked up about losing the property, as they already opened a new park also in Oklahoma.

The zoo's current operator has been ordered to leave within 120 days.

While Maldonado-Passage is unlikely to be happy with the decision, Lowe remains nonplussed, with he and his wife Lauren telling USA gossip site TMZ that they had "long anticipated that the judge would eventually undo the 2016 land transfer".
